About DediScout

What this is

DediScout is an aggregator. It sells nothing, takes no orders and charges no VAT. Links go straight to the provider; DediScout earns nothing from them.

It puts every dedicated server that can be ordered right now at the listed providers in one table, with an honest price per CPU core, per GB of RAM, per TB of disk and per 1000 CPU points.

Links go straight to the provider with no affiliate tags.

Servers that a provider shows as orderable at the time of collection are listed. Melbicom, Serverion, HostZealot, Ikoula and nforce are the exceptions: their listings have no stock field, so their configurations are shown as listed. Other servers whose availability is unknown, GPU servers and servers in Russia are left out.

Some sources cover only part of a catalog: Melbicom's cheapest 300 configurations, and at Hostkey only servers with a named CPU model. Netrouting is shown only in its European locations, because its page links only the European shop.

A provider marked Reseller rents out servers of other companies; OneProvider is one. Its offers carry a Reseller tag and can be hidden with the Hide resellers filter.

Prices are collected about every 2 hours. If a provider fails, its last good data is kept and flagged as stale after6 hours and critical after 24 hours. Its rows are never hidden.

How prices are calculated

The monthly price is the rent plus the IPv4 add-on plus the setup fee divided by 12. It is net of VAT by default. Prices that a provider lists in another currency are converted to EUR at the daily ECB rate, and the listed price is shown next to the EUR figure.

Listed prices come in EUR, USD, GBP, CAD, SGD, HKD, JPY or AUD. A discount is listed only when it lasts as long as you keep the server, such as outlet or clearance prices. A time-limited sale, or a sale with no stated end, is ignored and the regular monthly price is used. Prices that need prepayment or yearly billing, first-month or first-term prices and coupons count as time-limited too. IONOS requires a 12-month minimum term.

  • Per CPU core: the monthly price divided by the number of cores.
  • Per GB of RAM: the monthly price divided by the GB of RAM.
  • Per TB of disk: the monthly price divided by the raw disk capacity in TB, where 1 TB = 1000 GB.
  • Per 1000 CPU points: the monthly price divided by the CPU score and multiplied by 1000.

ECC memory is marked only when the provider states it, so an unmarked server may still have ECC memory. Where a provider states no port speed, the bandwidth column is empty.

VAT and setup fee

The VAT option shows what a private customer in the chosen EU country would pay, using that country's standard rate. It is an estimate. DediScout charges nothing; the provider sets the actual tax on its own site.

Providers publish prices without VAT, and those net prices are used. For Leaseweb, Melbicom, Hostkey, InterServer, RedSwitches, Dedicated.com, Serverion and OneProvider the source does not state the VAT basis, so the price is assumed to be net. Netrouting's page prints neither a currency nor a VAT basis; the site owner has confirmed that its prices are in euros and net of VAT.

Standard VAT rates as of 2026-01-01, checked against public summaries; the authority is the European Commission's TEDB.

The setup fee is included in the price by default, spread over 12 months. You can exclude it in the filters.

CPU scores

Scores come only from the providers' own published data: OVHcloud's public Eco catalog, Hetzner's server finder feed, Scaleway's public Dedibox catalog, ServerMania's public order inventory, Mevspace's public configuration list and OneProvider's public city pages. Numbers that a provider takes from PassMark are not used. An offer with an unknown CPU gets no score and no guess, so the price per 1000 CPU points can be empty.

New badge and freshness

"New" marks offers first seen within 24 hours before the data was generated. It is not shown for a provider whose offers are mostly new at once (at least 10 offers and more than half of them new), for example on the first day.

Each provider shows how long ago it was updated. A warning appears after 6 hours and a critical notice after 24 hours. Rows of such a provider stay in the table with a stale data badge.
